WO 01/35789 A1 describes a container top for applying surface hair treatment agent to the hair. The container top includes your hollow teeth on a tooth holder. The teeth have an inner channel which is provided with at least one outlet opening and comb teeth are arranged between the hollow teeth.
FR 1185116 describes an applicator especially for hair dyes. The applicator is screwed onto a container and has a hollow interior. When the container is pressed, the product is sprayed out through openings in the applicator. Although there are some tools available on the market, they are all associated with disadvantages such as: inaccurate application, you still have to use tools such as your fingers or a brush to distribute the dye, as well as the risk of spilling dye.
There is therefore a need for an improved applicator for coloring / bleaching the hair.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to overcome or at least minimize at least one of the disadvantages and disadvantages described above and this can be achieved with an applicator according to claim 1.
Thanks to this invention, the process of bleaching / coloring the hair becomes much simpler and it provides a number of advantages such as that one does not need to use any additional tools besides the applicator according to the invention and that wasting with dyes and dye packages is reduced.
According to one aspect of the invention, the spatula includes a free end with discharge openings so that colorant can flow out of the discharge openings and the spatula can be used to distribute the colorant to make it easier and faster to stain the roots / outgrowth.
According to another aspect of the invention, the edge of the spatula may be slightly concave, which has the advantage that the colorant gets closer to the scalp directly and makes the coloring faster with a better result.
According to yet another aspect of the invention, the spatula comprises channels extending from the edge to an inner bottom of the neck, which provides a fatal connection between the container and the discharge openings, the advantage of the channels being that in principle no colorant remains. in the spatula after staining which is the case if the spatula had been hollow, less spillage of dye.
According to yet another aspect of the invention, the channels are conically tapered, which gives the advantage that when the pressure exerted on the container is relieved, the dye is sucked into the channels back into the container and prevents the dye from flowing on the outside of the applicator.
According to another aspect of the invention, the channels are designed to suit the viscosity of the colorant in such a way that the colorant does not flow out of the dispensing openings unless a pressure is exerted on the container.
According to yet another aspect of the invention, the neck comprises internal threads, which makes it possible to arrange it on a container repeatedly in a simple manner.
According to another aspect of the invention, the spatula has a thickness, width and elasticity which makes it suitable for distributing the colorant on the roots / outgrowth.
According to another aspect of the invention, said kit comprises a container and an applicator which makes it possible to use subsets of dyes or bleaches and to use only exactly the amount of dye / bleach needed at the moment, which is economical and environmentally friendly.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The above aspects and many of the advantages that come with this invention will be more readily understood when better understood by reference to the following detailed description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 Fig. 2 is a front view of an applicator according to the invention, is a side view of an applicator according to the invention, Fig. 3 is a perspective view of an applicator according to the invention, Fig. 4 is a perspective view seen from below the applicator according to the invention, Fig. 5 is a side view of an application kit according to the invention, and Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an applicator according to the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The following detailed description and examples included therein are provided for the sole purpose of describing and illustrating certain embodiments of the invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Figure 1 shows, in a side view, an applicator 1 according to the invention in a preferred embodiment. The applicator 1 is preferably a continuous unit and comprises a neck 2 and a spatula 3. The inside 2 of the neck is cylindrical and has an inner diameter D in the range 10-40 mm, more preferably in the range 15-35 mm and most preferably in the range 20-30 mm. The outside of the neck 2 can be arranged with a rough surface, e.g. foxes, to provide a firmer grip. The inside of the neck 2 is arranged with threads 20, see Figures 4 and 6, to allow the applicator 1 to be threaded onto e.g. a container 7. The neck 2 comprises a first, substantially flat surface 21, from which surface 21 the spatula 3 extends in a substantially perpendicular direction. The spatula 3 has at its free end 30, the end of the spatula 3 which is at a distance from the neck 2, a thickness T in the range 0.5-10 mm, more preferably in the range 1-6 mm and most preferably in the range 1.5- 3 mm.
Figure 2 shows the applicator 1 in a front view and the applicator 1 has a height H in the range 30-90 mm, more preferably in the range 40-80 mm and most preferably in the range 50-60 mm. The spatula 3 in the described embodiment has a width W at its free end 30 which is slightly wider than the diameter D of the neck 2. The width W is in the range 10-60 mm, more preferably in the range 20-50 mm and most preferably in the range 25 -45 mm. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the width W of the spatula may be both wider and narrower than the neck 2. The free end 30 of the spatula 3 includes an edge 5, the edge 5 preferably being slightly concave to follow the shape of the head better to get closer to the scalp when applied , for a better result when dyeing / bleaching the roots / growth. At the edge 5 between 1 and 7 discharge openings 4 are arranged, in this described embodiment there are three discharge openings 4. The discharge openings 4 are arranged towards the middle of the edge 5, which gives the advantage that the outer portions of the edge 5, which are not arranged with discharge openings 4 , is used to distribute the colorant when the spatula is moved towards a part of the growth next to the newly colored part. In this way, too much dye is avoided on the same part of the outgrowth. It is of course possible to arrange the discharge openings 4 in other ways, for instance to arrange the discharge devices 4 evenly distributed on the edge 5. The discharge openings 4 communicate via channels 50 (see figure 5) which extend inside the applicator 1 from the edge 5 to an inner bottom 6 of neck 2, see figure 4. At the bottom 6 of the neck 2, the channels 50 end with other openings 40. The product, e.g. dye / bleach to be applied flows through the channels 50, which gives the advantage that there will be less spillage of dye than if the spatula 3 had been hollow, since in that case the dye would have remained in the hollow spatula and rinsed off for cleaning. It is also easier to control the outflow of the product thanks to the channels 50.
The applicator 1 is preferably formed in a continuous piece, which gives the advantage that it becomes more economical to manufacture, since your parts do not have to be assembled together.
It will also be easier to clean when there are no joints or loose parts to disassemble before cleaning. The applicator 1 is preferably words of an elastic material, e.g. rubber, silicone, polyurethane or other types of flexible / elastic material.
An flexible / elastic material will be more comfortable for the head when the applicator 1 is pressed against the scalp. Using a hard material can cause skin irritation, which is exacerbated by the application of hair dyes or bleaches. The visible / elastic material also allows a more precise application of the hair dye, as the material bends and gets closer to the scalp. It is good to get as close to the scalp as possible to color the growth, for a good and fast result. Getting as close to the scalp as possible during the first / initial application makes the entire application in the area faster. Since the visible / elastic material bends when pressed against the scalp, you can press harder and thus allow the dye / bleach to penetrate into your layers of hair, which makes the procedure faster.
No gasket is needed between the ash and the applicator 1 to minimize leakage, as the material is normally elastic. Depending on the elasticity / elasticity of the material in the applicator 1, if a stiffer material is used, it is also possible that a gasket can be used.
Figure 3 shows how the discharge openings 4 are arranged on the edge 5 of the free end 30 of the spatula, which gives a more precise application of the colorant and better control over the product being applied. The applicator 1 comprises at least one channel 50, preferably at least three channels 50, for measuring a sufficient volume of dye to the applicator edge 5 for a faster application. Figure 6 shows a cross-sectional view of the applicator 1. It can be seen how the channels 50 extend from the bottom 6 of the neck 2 through the spatula 3 to the edge 5 of the free end 30 of the spatula 3. The channels 50 are preferably conically tapered with the widest end 51 of the channels 50 at the neck end 2 and the narrowest end 52 of the channels 50 arranged at the edge 5. The diameter of the widest end 51 of the channels 50 is in the range 2-5 mm. In the example described, the diameter is 3 mm of the widest end 51. The diameter of the narrowest end 52 of the channels 50, i.e. at the end / openings 4 which are spaced apart, are in the range 10 15 20 25 30 35 1.5- 4 mm, in the described example the diameter is 2 mm. Thanks to the design of the channels 50, a suction generated when relieving a squeezing force causes the colorant to be drawn in from the edge 5 of the spatula 3. This advantageously minimizes the risk of the colorant flowing out on e.g. the washbasin or the skin. It also minimizes the proportion of waste paint, as the paint is drawn back into the ash and does not remain in / on the applicator l due to the suction power. The conically tapered channels 50 also slow down the dye so that the outflow of dye is controlled by the degree of pressure that arises in the ash when it is squeezed.
The elasticity / flexibility of the material used in the applicator 1 may be equivalent to 25-85 on the Shore A scale. It may also be possible to have different elasticity / elasticity of the material in the neck 2 (screw cap part) and the spatula 3. This gives the advantages that the spatula 3 has an elasticity / elasticity which makes it easy and flexible to use the spatula to apply the colorant (or the bleach) on the roots / outgrowth and neck 2 may have a different elasticity / flexibility, a relatively less softness compared to the spatula 3, which makes the seal against the ash better and gives less leakage of color when squeezing the ash.
Figure 5 shows an application kit K according to the invention for applying a product 71, e.g. dye or bleach, on the hair of a person's head. The kit K comprises an applicator 1, as described above, and a container 7, such as a plastic box, which is preferably designed to be easily held in one hand by the user. It is also preferred that the container 7 has a substantially flat bottom at its lower end in order to be able to lower the putty onto a substrate. The container 7 is preferably designed to be squeezed, to cause the product 71 to pass through the internal channels 50 of the applicator 1 and flow out via the discharge openings 4. The container 7 comprises a body 72 which is preferably provided with ml / oz dash 70 and body 72 may have an oval or circular cross-section and a closed bottom 73 at its lower end. At the upper end, the container 7 can form a projecting portion 74 which extends in the form of a cylindrical neck which is arranged with external threads. The applicator 1 is releasably attached to the container 7 via the internal threads 20 of the applicator 1 and external threads (not shown) on the bottle neck. The channels 50 are preferably designed / dimensioned in such a way that the product, enclosed in the container 7, does not flow out through the discharge openings 4 unless a clamping force is exerted on the container 7, for example by the user's hand. The dimension is adapted to / dependent on the viscosity of the dye.
In this way, the spatula 3 can be used to distribute the dye on the hair without too much dye flowing out of the discharge openings 4. A major advantage when one wants to dye outgrowth, when using the putty according to the invention, is that it is possible to use subsets of paint components (or bleach) from a package that would normally be consumed at once. Aliquots of the dye liquids are poured directly into the container 7, which is preferably provided with ml lines for easier dosing. After this, the container 7 is sealed, for example with a screw cap, and shaken to mix the paint components, then the screw cap is replaced with the applicator 1 according to the invention and the roots / growth can be colored. It is also possible to cover the discharge openings 4 with a finger or the like in order, in case of shaking, to facilitate the dyeing / bleaching process even more. When the applicator 1 is arranged on the container 7, the inner bottom 6 of the neck 2 is located near the opening of the container 7, which also leads to less spillage of dye / bleach. When applying the colorant / bleach 71, enclosed in the container 7, to the outgrowth, the user can hold the putty K1 in one hand and direct the applicator 1 downwards towards the scalp so that the edge 5 with the discharge openings 4 abuts against the scalp. By applying a suitable squeezing force, on the container 7, the user presses the dye 71 through the channels 50 and out through the discharge openings 4. When sufficient dye has left the discharge openings 4, the squeezing force is relieved and the spatula 3 is used to distribute the dye evenly on the roots / outgrowth. The spatula 3 has an elasticity that allows the spatula 3 to distribute the dye and at the same time adapt to the scalp, without being too soft. The spatula 3 is thus used as a paintbrush to distribute the colorant from the scalp and outwards on the growth. Thus, there is no need to use an additional tool such as a separate brush or the nailers to distribute the paint, since the user uses the spatula 3 for this purpose. When the dyeing / bleaching is finished, there are only two main parts to clean, the applicator 1 and the container 7. The applicator 1 and the container 7 are preferably rinsed off with water and then the container 7 is filled with water which is squeezed out of the container 7 through the channels 50 and thus clean the inside of the applicator l. In this way, the entire application kit K is reused at each dyeing occasion.
Thanks to the invention, the use of dyeing liquids is reduced because a package with dyeing / bleaching liquids is sufficient for your rounds of dyeing of the roots / outgrowth, which is economical and also good for the environment as this contributes to less chemical waste and waste from packaging. Today, there are many people who dye all hair at every dyeing occasion because it is so complicated, messy and dirty just to dye the root theme / growth. Thanks to the invention, it is much easier and less messy to dye the growth, which will lead to a better hair quality as not all hair is dyed at every time. Another advantage is that since the applicator 1 according to the invention makes the color application faster, the coloring result is better, as the colored part of the hair is exposed to the colorant for the next equal length of time. Only coloring / bleaching strategic parts (such as the temples or legs of the hair) of the growth / roots will also minimize the amount of skin / scalp that comes in contact with the chemicals, which is desirable for many different reasons.
As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, many changes and modifications may be made to the above-described and other embodiments of the present invention, without departing from the scope thereof as defined in the appended claims. In the described preferred embodiment, there are, for example, three discharge openings, the person skilled in the art realizing that there could be more or less than exactly three discharge openings. Those skilled in the art will also appreciate that the product to be applied may be a coloring agent (which adds pigment to the hair) or a bleaching agent (which removes the existing pigment of the hair). There may also be other products to be applied, for example it may be medicinal agents, creams / oils, for example for dry scalp. It will also be appreciated that the container may be an excellently designed tube, or the like, with a possibly welded bottom. Although it is wise for the container to have a flat bottom, this does not preclude the applicator from being used on a tube or the like.
The spatula may also have other configurations than those described in the figures, the transition between the neck and the spatula may be thinner and the spatula may be as wide as the neck at the bottom and tapered along raising it so that the spatula is narrower at its free end than at the neck. The spatula can also extend in an angled direction from the neck, which can provide better ergonomics. The applicator can also be made of other materials, such as plastic.
